The subject of this discussion spoke for itself, so no preamble was really necessary.   We turned immediately to the focus of the discussion.

Are there populations within your countries that have fewer rights or are treated less fairly and/or equally than others?   Are there populations that are “advantaged” or “privileged” and populations that are “disadvantaged” or “lack privilege”?   How would you describe those populations?   How are they treated?  How do YOU think they should be treated?

 

Students were encouraged to include any images or photo(s) that they thought would help us learn about those populations in their countries that they believe are marginalized.
