In this discussion, we turn to another aspect of civic obligation + responsibility.

In many places worldwide, civic obligation and responsibility include serving one’s country, often through the military and/or through some other form of service.    That’s a huge action with significant consequences for the people who serve.   

 

What are you asked to do by your country in terms of service?   And what are you willing to do?   If something happened--to your family, your community, your region, your country—would you be willing to serve on behalf of your people?   Can you explain your thinking with as much specificity as possible?
